Pete Miller was born on September 10, 1949, in Dallas, Texas. Pete served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, during the Vietnam War as a Military Policeman, attaining the rank of Sergeant. In 1973, Pete married his wife Elizabeth.
Pete pursued a career with the Port of Houston as a Longshoreman and truck driver, retiring in 2010. Over the years, Pete enjoyed fishing, playing pool with the greats, cooking, sports, and history. Pete passed peacefully on May 28, 2015, with his family beside him.
Pete is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Elizabeth; loving daughters and their spouses, Tim and Roni Thelen, and Chris and Marianne Morlock; treasured grandchildren Jessica L. Barbosa-Williams, Gilbert and Jenifer Andrade, Trevor Wingert, Anthony Thelen, Katie and Jackson Morlock; and great-grandchildren, Gilbert and Jacob Andrade, and Joslynn and Jianna Esquivel, as well as his loyal cat Little Guy.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on June 2, 2015, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., with funeral services on June 3, 2015, at 1:00 P.M. at the American Heritage Funeral Home, located at 10710 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas 77038. Military services will follow at the Houston National Cemetery.
