

Pete, born on October 5th, 1930, was one of two sons born to Pete and Margaret Manale in Fort Worth, Texas. Pete grew up in Fort Worth, Texas and attended Pascal High School where he was a drummer for the Pascal Panthers Marching Band. After completing High School, Pete enrolled in Baylor University prior to joining the US Army. He was stationed in Hawaii where he got his start working with numbers as a bookkeeper. Upon completion of his military service, Pete returned to Texas where he began working at Dresser Industries while continuing his education at the University of Houston. It was at Dresser Industries where Pete met Mary Francis Ryan, who would be the love of his life and his wife of 53 years.
In 1967, on his first attempt, Pete passed the exam to become a Certified Public Accountant. He continued working at Dresser, which eventually resulted in his promotion to Financial Controller for Dresser Valves in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
In 1975, Pete moved back to Houston and began working for Hunt Tool Company as their Financial Controller. After the purchase of Hunt Tools by GeoSource Inc. Pete was a part of a team that took GeoSource public in the early 80's. Pete retired from GeoSource in the mid 80's; but soon realized he wasn't ready for the retirement lifestyle. For Pete working was his hobby. Pete went back to work for a number of companies including Petroleum Information Corporation, Tobin Mapping and Gaither Petroluem as their Chief Financial Officer. Pete finally retired from working at the age of 77.
Upon retirement, Pete devoted much of his time to his wife, travel, and to the care of his beloved dogs Lucy, Sassy and Jesse.
Pete is preceded in death by his parents, Peter Joe Manale Sr. and Margaret "Tootsie" Manale and his son James Eric Manale.
Pete is survived by his wife Mary Ryan Manale; Two Daughters Stevie Lynn Martin and Terry Patrice Overton; Three Sons, Peter Morgan Manale, Hayden Larry Manale and Jack Bullett Manale; Eight Grandchildren, Jimmy Martin, Jake Leonard, Kristy Leonard, James Manale, Ashley Manale, Erin Manale, Leah Manale and Kaye Manale; Six Great Grandchildren, Jackson Leonard, Ashlyn Leonard, Mara Leonard, Jacob Lane, Joseph lane and Alexa Lane.
