

Phyllis Ann Camp, 87 of Willis, Texas, went to heaven on February 12, 2023. She was born in Dallas Texas on July 30,1935. She attended Texas Tech University and was a member of Tri Delta Sorority. Phyllis “Mimi”, had a tremendous heart and loved her family and life. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she enjoyed every moment spent with them. She enjoyed playing cards, mahjong, and getting together with friends. She was the family Rummikub champion along with Val, her granddaughter. She belonged to the Assistance League and Seven Oaks Woman’s Club. She loved taking fun trips with her friends and family. She took care of her husband, Carrol, “Pawpaw” for many years.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carrol, of 41 years, and her son, Tom Vernon. She is survived by her daughter Debbie Gibson and her husband Jimmy. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer, Valerie, Carson and wife Hayley, and Robert; as well as many special relatives and dear friends. A special thanks to Victoria Emmott for being there for her countless times in the last year while she was ill. Phyllis will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A visitation for Phyllis will be held from 10:30-11:30 AM at American Heritage Funeral Home on February 28th followed by services at 11:30 AM. Committal service at Houston National Cemetery.
