Polly Harrison Hahn peacefully left this world on March 29, 2013, just two weeks short of her 64th birthday. Born in Harlingen in 1949, she could be found by the river with a fishing pole in her hand. Her love of the outdoors continued through scouting, college, and throughout her retirement years at the bay. During her life she studied cancer, volunteered, and worked in HISD. She supported her girls and their friends through various positions where she was affectionately called, “Mama Hahn”.
The most valuable impact she made was at home with husband, Jerry, and daughters, Abby and Jenny. Her deep love extended to grandchildren Jacob, Allyson, and Blair and her brother, Gary Harrison and to countless others.
For the last seven years, Polly valiantly fought MSA (Multiple System Atrophy), with the last two years being especially difficult. Thank you to her faithful friends who have visited Polly and provided welcomed assistance to her and her family.
Visitation will be Monday, April 1st from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
