Ponciano Montemayor was born November 19, 1924 in Higueras (Nuevo León) Mexico to the parents of Jose Angel Montemayor and Agustina Garza de Montemayor. He was married to Aurora Ramirez on May 12, 1957 in Monterrey (Nuevo León)Mex. and moved to Rolling Prairie, Indiana where they had six children, lived there for 12 years and worked as a butcher for Gentry Farm Meat Co. in So. Bend, Indiana before moving to Houston Texas. In Houston he worked for Armour Star Meat Co. before working his last 10 years of employment and retiring with the City of Houston. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Aurora Montemayor; son Jesse Montemayor; daughter Tina and husband Alan Heddens; son Willie Montemayor and Oscar Favella, daughter Aurora and husband Steve Charles; grandchildren: Ponciano Gilley, Adam, Amanda, Jaime, and Ricky Montemayor, Zachary and Jayme Heddens, Jennifer and husband Michael Ramirez, Steven, Samantha and Matthew Charles; great grandchildren: Jordon Flores, Anthony, Aiden, Abigail, Viviana and Conner Ponce Montemayor. He is preceded in death by his sons Ponciano Montemayor Jr. who passed away Sept 25, 2013 and Jaime Montemayor who passed away January 14, 1987.
