Porfirio Perez Sr.

Porfirio “Pilo” Perez Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on June 19, 2024, at the age of 73. Born on September 15, 1950, in Santa Clara, Durango, Mexico, he spent his formative years there alongside his brothers and sisters.

Porfirio dedicated many years of his life to carpentry, but his true passion was music. As a talented singer, he shared his love for music with everyone around him throughout his entire life.

He is preceded in death by his father, Demetrio Perez, and his mother, Petra Martinez. Porfirio is survived by his loving wife, Odilia Perez, and his children Porfirio Perez Jr., Dalila Perez, and Hector Perez. He was cherished as a grandfather and great-grandfather by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Porfirio will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a cherished great-grandfather. To those who were not blood-related but held a special place in his heart, he was family in every sense. He touched countless lives with his warmth, kindness, and his music, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Though he has left this world, his spirit will continue to resonate through the memories he created and the songs he sang.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all relatives and friends for their care and compassion during this difficult time.

A Memorial Mass will be held to honor Porfirio's life at Funeraria Del Angel on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. Visitation with the family will begin at 12pm.

Porfirio “Pilo” Pérez Sr., un amado esposo, padre, abuelo y bisabuelo, falleció el 19 de junio de 2024, a la edad de 73 años. Nació el 15 de septiembre de 1950 en Santa Clara, Durango, México. Pasó sus años de formación allí junto a sus hermanos y hermanas.

Porfirio dedicó muchos años de su vida a la carpintería, pero su verdadera pasión era la música. Como cantante talentoso, compartió su amor por la música con todos los que lo rodearon durante toda su vida.

Le precedieron en la muerte su padre, Demetrio Pérez, y su madre, Petra Martínez. A Porfirio le sobreviven su amada esposa, Odilia Pérez, y sus hijos Porfirio Pérez Jr., Dalila Pérez y Héctor Pérez. Sus nietos y bisnietos lo apreciaban como abuelo y bisabuelo.

Porfirio siempre será recordado como un esposo devoto, un padre amoroso, un abuelo orgulloso y un bisabuelo querido. Para aquellos que no estaban relacionados con sangre pero que tenían un lugar especial en su corazón, él era una familia en todos los sentidos. Tocó innumerables vidas con su calidez, amabilidad y su música, dejando una huella imborrable en todos los que tuvieron el placer de conocerlo. Aunque dejó este mundo, su espíritu seguirá resonando a través de los recuerdos que creó y las canciones que cantó.

La familia desea expresar su más sincero agradecimiento a todos los familiares y amigos por su cuidado y compasión durante este momento difícil.

Se llevará a cabo una misa conmemorativa para honrar la vida de Porfirio en la Funeraria Del Angel el miércoles 26 de junio de 2024. El velorio con la familia comenzará a las 12 p.m.
