On Tuesday April 25, 1933 in Shelbyville, Texas a baby boy was born to Evie and R.E. Harris. He was named R.C. Harris and his life began. R.C. Harris was educated through the Timpson Independent School District.
After reach young adulthood he decided to relocate to Houston, Texas to obtain employment. This was the beginning of a lifetime career in the concrete/construction industry. He worked with independent contractors, The William Brothers construction company, and retired from Metzger Construction Company, in 2009.
One thing was well document R.C. lived life to the “Fullest”, which was a good thing sometime….
R.C. was preceded in death by his parents, Evie and R.E Harris, one brother N.C. Harris and two step-daughters Sharon Greer, and Debra Gray Alford.
In Gods care R.C. leaves behind to cherish his memories one sister Hazel Whitaker, one son Rictor Harris (Caroline), two stepdaughters Danita Minor, and Sheryl Gray, two grandchildren Jordan Harris, and Morgan Harris. In addition he also leaves a host of nieces (great), nephews (great), and other relatives and friends
A memorial service for R will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 from 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Paradise Funeral Home, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088.
