R. Scott Thompson, 62, died July 22, 2012. He was born June 27, 1950 in Kilgore, Texas but grew up in many places including Houston, Holland, New York and London. This sparked a love of travel that included Africa, Europe and the former Soviet Union. He attended Southwest State University in San Marcos, getting a degree in commercial art and pursued further study in interior design. He became a stained glass artist and worked for years as an Interior Designer and a recognized member of the ASID. He loved live theater, the arts and the Neiman Marcus tie counter. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law , Roger & Peggy Thompson, nieces Stacey Mietus and Mindy Barenblat, and his dogs, Stella and Shotzie. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, July 28 from 1:00 - 4:00. All family and friends are invited as we celebrate the life of Scott Thompson.
