Rafael Garcia, also known as Rey, was born on October 17, 1925, was called to his eternal home on March 8, 2019 at the young age of 93. He was born to Merced Garcia and Juana Martinez who have gone on before him, in a small town called Tamina, Texas now know as Conroe. Rafael started working as a young boy in the migrant fields, with little education he learned to read and write from those around him. He met and married Esther Camacho Garcia, were together 73 years. One thing he loved to do in earlier times was to go fishing. Together Esther and he raised five children. Yolanda married to Antonio Cerda, Hilda Sanchez and Linda married Rudy Gallardo. He retired from Preco Machinery Sales as a truck driver. During his time while working, he also devoted his life to serving Jesus Christ and served Him wholeheartedly for the last 60 years. Rafael never knew a stranger. He shared his ministry with all that would give an ear. He was a firm believer in order to enter the kingdom of heaven, you had to acknowledge ones sins and accept Jesus as your personal Savior. We will miss his laugh, sense of humor and him playing his guitar and accordion while he sang his heart out to the Lord. Anyone that came by to visit was always blessed to leave with a prayer. Rafael was a simple and humble man; blessed beyond measure.
Rafael leaves behind 10 grandchildren whom he had the joy of seeing play ball in high school and college, 20 great-grandchildren that left smiles as wide as his and Sister Natalie Trejo, Sarah Roque and numerous nieces and nephews. Rafael was preceded in death by his parents Merced Garcia and Juana Martinez Roque and his two sons Ralph, Jr. and Able Artie Garcia.
Matthew 23:12 And whosever shall exalt himself shall be humbled and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
