Ramona Cantu

Ramona Layton Cantu peacefully went to be with Our Lord on Monday, July 7, 2014. She was born on March 2, 2014 in Donna, Texas to Manuel and Maria De La Paz Layton and was raised in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. In 1965 she married Alfredo Cantu Sr. and were blessed with their children Alfredo, Gerardo, Marisela and Ramon.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Alfredo Cantu Sr., and her parents Manuel and Maria De La Paz Layton.

Ramona is survived by her children: Alfredo Cantu Jr., Gerardo (Monica) Cantu, Marisela Cantu, Ramon Cantu, grandchildren: Kasey Cantu, Julian Cantu, Jesse Cantu, Briana Cantu, Isabella Cantu, and soon to be born Baby Cantu, brothers: Jose Angel Layton, Enrique Layton and Javier Layton.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM till 12:00 midnight, Wednesday July 9, 2014 at Brookside Funeral Home at 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas, Funeral service will be on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church located at 3011 Telephone Road, Houston, Texas with Rev. John Paul Bolger officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Memorial Park.
