Ramona Ann Petrovich

She met the love of her life John Petrovich in Houston, Texas and married April 15, 1999. Ramona had a career as a Director of Childcare facilities. After retiring from the childcare field she became a Real Estate Agent. She had a passion for God, family, friends, butterflies and angels.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband John J. Petrovich; parents, Alver Edward Smith and Annie Louise; brothers, Clarence Smith, and Lamar Smith; sisters Elsie Mahaffey, and Lori Cochran; and best friend, June Sutton.

Ramona is survived by her sons, Steven Vaden, Keith Vaden, and Vernon Vaden; daughter, Sherri Slomchinski; grandchildren, Mathew Slomchinski, Marc Vaden, Savanna Nicholson, Nathan Vaden, Jonathon Vaden, Wes Vaden; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Smith, and Kenneth Smith; step children, John Petrovich III, and Linda Harding; step grandchildren, Jesse Gunnels, Michelle Gunnels, Michael Harding, Nathaniel Petrovich, Joshua Petrovich, Seth Petrovich; and three step great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Mathew Slomchinski, Marc Vaden, Jonathon Vaden, Nathan Vaden, Jesse Gunnels, Gary Ferguson and Nathaniel Petrovich.

Special thanks to God for blessing her children with the best mother a child could have. She was our Earth Angel. To the Heart to Heart hospice team for their respectful and loving care they gave our mother during her last days. To Keith Vaden, Sherri Slomchinski and Vicki Howell for their teamwork of taking care of Ramona over the past few years.

A visitation for Ramona will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 1:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A committal service will occur Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
