Randall Clay Allen, 63, beloved husband, father, son, and brother, fell asleep and entered heaven on April 27, 2013, and is now with his Lord Jesus Christ. He was born on October 4, 1949, to Charles and Faydelle Allen (née Box) in Carrizo Springs, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University where he was a member of the corps of cadets and the legendary company, Spider-D. Randy remained a devoted Aggie football fan even after leaving the university. He later moved to Houston, where he was active in real estate appraisal and brokerage and in the oil and gas industry as a petroleum landman. Randy’s chief joy in life was his children, and they returned his love. He had three sons: Thain, Clay, and Tyler Allen. He later married Regina Bergamini, and they raised her two children: Jason and Jennifer Bennett. Randy was known for his kindness, warmth, and sense of humor, and his home was always open. Friends and family regularly stopped by for a bowl of his “world-famous” chili or a late-night game of moon. When away from home, Randy could be found on the golf course or sneaking away for a trip to the beach or a Caribbean cruise. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Charles, his wife Regina and son Jason. He is survived by his mother Faydelle; his children Thain, Clay, Tyler, and Jennifer; son-in-law Jack McBride; siblings Albert Allen, Charla Adams, and Terry Coleman; and a host of other relatives and close friends. He also leaves behind Bertie Fisher, his loving companion of the last two years. Visitation will be 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. His funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, at the Forest Park chapel, with a graveside service immediately after the funeral. Pallbearers will be Gary Smith, Scott Brown, Jay Watson, David Maggard, Sammy Allen, and Bobby Etheridge. Though we mourn because of Randy’s death, we take comfort in the truth that he was saved for everlasting life by God’s grace through Jesus Christ. Those interested may send donations in Randy’s memory to First Baptist Church Carrizo Springs, 706 West Houston, Carrizo Springs, Texas 78834.

Years ago my husband came home & told me he was doing business with Randy Allen from C. Spgs. I was elated since I knew Charla from high school. My husband always had a good time with the brothers & Randy was as jovial as my hubby. They made the work day fun & worthwhile. Thank you Randy & may The Almighty keep you in His comfort. Condolences to his fam., Charla & all others.

Our deepest sympathy to Mrs. Allen, Al, Charla, and Terry. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I have such great memories of Randy and no matter how much time went by between our visits, we could always pick up where we left off. He was such a good guy and was salt of the earth just like the Allen family.
May you all be comforted in knowing you will see Randy again someday.
