Randall Eugene Gipson
April 1, 1934 – May 4, 2022

Randall Eugene Gipson of Athens, TX went to his Heavenly home on May 4, 2022. He was born on April 1, 1934 in Monette, Arkansas to parents Woodrow and Opal Gipson. Randall graduated from Tomball High School and married the love of his life, Carol Yvonne Hodges Gipson, on December 22, 1951. He had a career in the Oil & Gas business for over 30 yrs. Randall was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and had a passion for service to his family, friends and community.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, J.R., his wife, and son Larry. He is survived by his sister, Karen Fanestiel; niece, Susan Eversole and her husband Greg; children, Ray Gipson, Lori Ellis and husband Lyn; grandchildren Jared Ellis, Jennifer Thompson and husband Tommy, Shonna Nobles and husband Rex, and Michael Gipson; greatgrandchildren Patrick & Ethan Nobles and Eleanor & Lillian Thompson, as well as other beloved family members.
A visitation for Randall will be held on May 14, 2022 from 1:00-2:30 pm. The funeral service will begin at 2:30 pm, followed immediately by graveside services and a reception. All arrangements will be held at Brookside Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
