Randel Orie Grice Jr.

Randel (“Randy”) O. Grice, Jr., 69, of Alexandria, LA, passed away on July 30, 2025, after bravely battling myelodysplastic syndrome.

Randy was born January 19, 1956 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He loved his country, proudly serving in the Marines and later in the Louisiana National Guard – retiring from military service in 2016. He served multiple tours in Iraq, defending our freedom. Randy was extremely hard working, and worked over the years in roofing, truck driving, and security services.

Remaining to cherish Randy’s memory are his wife, Paula Grice; children, Randel O. Grice III (Donna), Robert Grice, and Kyler Grice; step-children, Robert Saylor and Allison Johnson (Michael); grandchildren, Cheyenne Grice and Hayden Grice; step-grandchildren, Jessica Oakes, Brendon Saylor, Brehianna Flores, and Jack Johnson; step-great-grandchildren, Tucker Oakes and Maverick Robles; siblings, Glenda Gribble (Gary), Carl Grice (Pam), Evelyn Walker, and Brenda Jones (Brett); and many nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Randel O. Grice and Donald Martin Grice, and daughter, Christina Lynn Fowler.

A service will be held on August 27, 2025 at 10:30 A.M., at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA. The family would like to thank Randy’s care team at MD Anderson Cancer Center for their exceptional, compassionate care.
