I remember the fine, chiseled face of Randolph Lane as a teenager in our Sunday school class. I knew him as one who was not afraid of taking a risk and who loved the thought of helping others no matter the dangers.

Randolf and I have been friends for 15 years and first met over our mutual love for remote control airplanes (and really anything that flew) - a topic we discussed less than a month ago via phone.  As fellow lookout mountaineers - we shared many friends and I will always fondly remember spending hours and hours admiring his gift for building model aircraft at his house on Dale Way.   I am honored to own several of his remote control planes that we bartered for before moving to Texas to be with Catherine.   I will miss you Randolf and will always regret being too busy on a day when you were in town and wanted to watch me fly one of your planes.  I look forward to seeing you again one day, my friend.

I as many others have had the pleasure of working with Randolph. We met while working at Kindred. A quick friendship began due to our unique military background. You will be missed!

I had the gift of knowing Randolph and will remember him fondly.  I will continue to pray for the Lane family during this time asking the God of heaven and earth to comfort you in your loss. I am sorry to miss the memorial service.
