Raphael was a very sweet person and considered an angel on earth. Everyone that met him knew he was a special guy. He was limited physically, non-verbal and required 24/7 care but was always aware of the people around him and never hurt anyone. He could communicate his likes and dislikes with body language and a variety of sounds. He had a passion for balloons, eating, watching people dance, listening to polkas and waltzes, holding hands, having his hair rubbed, listening to baseball games, and blowing bubbles.
Raphael was cared for by his loving mother during the majority of his life and was a big part of all the lives of his family members throughout his life. He touched the lives of several people outside of the family too including his caregivers, nurses and doctors.
