On November 16, 1992, the Lord sent Dorothy McBride Campbell and William Ray Dunomes Sr. a special blessing; Raven Symone Dunomes. She was born in Hammond, Louisiana. Raven also gained a father, Isaac J. Campbell. Raven received her wings on Thursday, December 7, 2023, and will be missed dearly by all.
At the early age of 5, Raven dedicated her life to Christ and was baptized. Raven attended North Shore High School and later graduated from C. E. King High School in Houston, Texas in 2010.
Raven later became engaged to her fiancé Jacob Barker. To know Raven was to know that she loved her 4 beautiful children and family. During her lifetime, she worked in the Retail Industry, the Office Industry as an Administrative Assistant, and Childcare Industry at Growing in Graces-Summerwood, until her health declined.
Raven loved creating and crafting so much, that she started her small business, Strong Hope Designs, where she designed Cups, Cases, Wreaths, Shirts, Dominoes etc. There was not a craft or design that Raven could not create for her customers.
Throughout her life journey, Raven touched many lives with her kind heart and warm smile and never met a stranger. Of all the things she loved, being amongst her children, family and friends was by far her most rewarding experience. Her beautiful smile a nd lively personality will be missed and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Raven was preceded in death by; her grandmothers, Hope McGowan (James), Verlin Dunomes, Annie Mae Campbell; great-grandmothers, Mintie Bernice Carlson (Charles) and Mildred Short Williams (Samuel).
Precious and loving memories of Raven’s life will forever be cherished by those she leaves behind, including; her fiancé, Jacob Barker; sons, Myron, Tavieo and Omari (Jacob); daughter, Symone; mother, Dorothy McBride Campbell (stepfather, Isaac J. Campbell); father, William Ray Dunomes Sr. (Stepmother Kushana Dunomes); sister, Dominique
Dunomes; brothers, Jerome Campbell, Dewayne Dyson and William Ray Dunomes Jr.; sisters, Raylen Dunomes and Rexquille Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
