I worked for Ray at Eckerd Drugs when he was the advertising manager. I was still in High School at the time and he was such an inspiration to me. He'll never know how much I learned from him and I also considered him my friend. I got to know his wife Sheri and met one of his sisters once. Ray was a character. He was so talented. I tried looking him up years ago and was unable to locate him. 

I am saddened by his passing and will always remember him.

Ray was a kind and caring friend. It made no sense that we would have been as close as we were....but I considered him a very dear friend. We had little in common, but golf brought us together and we spent years and years on the course, at business functions and  just hanging out being great friends. 
Ray taught me how to respect our community and I use those lessons on a daily basis. You will be sadly missed my friend but I know you are watching over us from heaven with that contagious smile. The world, and The Woodlands in particular, is a better place because of you.
