Ray Byrd, 75, of Cleveland, Texas, passed into eternal rest on August 12, 2017. He was born in Fairhope, Alabama on January 22, 1942. Ray married Delores on February 20, 1965. He had a career in Commercical Construction at Construction Specialty. He was a member of Carpenters Union. Hunting was his passion.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 52 years Delores Byrd; children: Lisa Byrd, Mylinda Chestang, Candace Meyers; grandchildren: Keith, Sabrina, Corey, Crystal, Shana, Tyler, Durena, Darryl, Joshua, Casey, Andrea, and 10 great-grandchildren; siblings: Brynda Carson, Lynda Whitehead, Sylvia Boggis, Christine Weeks. He is preceded in death by his son, Darryl Byrd.
The family will receive friends for visitation on August 16, 2017 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039 with the funeral beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park and Cemetery.
