Raymond E. Koons passed away on August 15, 2026. He was born in Houston to Ralph and Catherine Koons. Raymond will be remembered for his quick wit, love of plants and long phone calls. He attended and graduated from Marion High School. He later joined the U.S. Army, serving three years. After his military service, he attended and graduated with honors from Texas A&M majoring in Horticulture. Raymond is survived by his sisters, Laura Robertson and Maureen, his niece, Laura Pederson and her three children, Bryan, Kayleigh and James and his loving aunt, Thelma Nowak. A private memorial service will be held at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
