Raymond Machado

Raymond graduated from Ropesville High School. In Houston, he met the love of his life, RosaLinda, and the two were married in the summer of 1969. He spent over 20 years working in construction at JD Hunt, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Raymond cherished time with his family above all else. He found great joy in fishing, caring for his pool, and being surrounded by loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio and Victoriana Machado; his sister, Dominga Gauna; and his stepson, Lawrence B. Saenz.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, RosaLinda Machado; daughters Michelle Salinas (husband Salvador) and Dawn Machado Melgar (husband Jose Sr.); grandchildren Fernando Godina (wife Ana), Michael Jimenez (wife Jailyn), Natasha Jimenez (partner Alberto Vargas), Salvador L. Salinas (partner Allison Fernandez), Ariana Melgar, Jose Melgar Jr., and Isabella Melgar; and great-grandchildren Mia, Lucas, Camila, Ramona, Bianca Godina, and Michael Jimenez.

He is also survived by his brothers Stanley Machado, Gregorio Machado Jr., and Victor Machado; sisters Amelia Guzman and Ana Maria Machado; and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

Raymond’s legacy of love, hard work, and deep family devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Brookside’s Grand Oak Chapel, with a rosary beginning at 1:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 PM.
