Ray Wohadlo, 39 departed this life November 6, 2019. Ray had a knack for making things better. If he couldn’t improve the hard times, he’d help you find humor in them. Born in 1980 to parents Ray and Debbie Wohadlo, he grew up in Houston and spent a year at Texas Tech before returning home where he served up drinks and smiles from behind a neighborhood bar before transitioning into the oil & gas industry at Enventure Global.
He began as an assembly tech and over the next 13 years he not only made lifelong friends within the company but built his career from manual labor to procurement supervisor and purchasing specialist. It afforded him an edge many others had not experienced. He enjoyed some international travel in the role as well.
Ray’s priority was his family and happiness came by way of a quiet life at home. He loved fishing, movies, practical jokes and never missed the opportunity for holiday fireworks or poker games with family and friends.
Ray leaves fond memories to cherish. He is survived by his loving wife Katherine, sons Alex and Oscar, sister Jackie, stepmom Annie, stepbrother Michael (Suzanne), nephew Harlan, and many other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday the 23rd of November 2019, at 2:00 p.m. in Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas, 77079.
Donations can be made to assist with future expenses for Ray’s boys or in honor of Ray to Camp Hope in Houston.
Serving as pallbearers are Bryan Grimes, Ryan Galbreath, Michael Riggs, Jim Savage, Chris Trandell, Jeff Trower, Jim Trower, Mike Valencia, Solane Williams, and Joe Zinda.
