He went on to learn the Typesetting trade. During this time he married Magdalena and had his three sons. Magdalena and Raymundo went on to run a small business in Aguascalientes while Raymundo maintained his night job at the newspaper. As well as supporting his family, Raymundo provided support for his younger siblings to attend the university. In the early 70’s he immigrated to Kansas City, MO to work at Connell Typesetting Co and eventually he was able to bring his family to the States. In the mid 80’s, Raymundo and Magdalena started a successful home based jewelry business until he retired.
Over the years he made countless trips to Mexico to maintain a strong bond with his siblings and extended family. Raymundo loved to cook for his family and friends and was a regular at the local city market. He adored his children, grandchildren, and daughter-in laws and had a habit of providing for them even during his treatment.
