

As we mourn the loss of a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, we can take comfort in knowing that she is now in the embrace of a merciful and loving God. We will always remember the impact she had on each of our lives, and we will carry her memory in our hearts forever.
Reba Jones is preceded in death by her first husband of 18 years, Elton Deas; her parents, Guy & Nora Taylor; her brothers, Ryland Taylor, Burl Taylor & Earl Taylor; and her sister, Thelma Taylor.
Reba is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bob Jones; three children, Deborah & husband Paul Lobello, Dianne & husband Vincent Price, and Denise & husband Richard Lindley; grandchildren, Paul Lobello & wife Betty, Christina Simpson & husband Shawn, Carrie Rhodes, Dan Price & wife Susy, Ryan Sanders, Lynnsey Hedrick & husband Will, Andrew Lindley & wife Jamie, Mitchell Lindley & wife Jade; great-grandchildren, Savannah Rhodes, Taylor Rhodes, Gabby Price, Abby Price, Kira Price, Isabella Simpson, Collins Simpson, Zen Lobello, Jaxon Lobello, Pan Lobello, Kai Lobello, Gabriel Hedrick, Christian Hedrick, Carter Lindley, Taylor Lindley, Harper Lindley, Emma Lindley and Elle Lindley.
Reba lived a full life that most of her era did not have the opportunity to enjoy. She was born on January 25, 1926, in Centralia, Texas. She was a toddler during the Great Depression from 1929-1939. She graduated from Apple Springs High School during the time World War II began. She had a 36-year career as a bank teller for Texas Commerce Bank. In addition, she attended Grace Church in Humble, Texas and Bethel Tabernacle in Spring, Texas. Her hobbies included working in her yard and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She witnessed an incredible amount of change in our world during her lifetime.
Reba’s stories will continue to be shared among extended family members and future generations.
A visitation for Reba will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A Funeral Service will occur Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM, followed by a committal service at 12:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park.
