René graduated from MacArthur High School. He continued his education and received a general degree from Harris County Community College. He worked in the hospitality field for various well know Houston Restaurants for over 30 years. René loved his family and was a burst of delightful energy when he entered any room. He had a determination to live life to the fullest and achieved a life filled with beautiful moments.
René is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Flores Gil and Emilio Hernandez Gil.
He is survived by his siblings, Ronald "Ronnie" Gil, Richard E. Gil and Rochelle E. Gil as well as a host of other cherished family members and friends.
