She was born in Goliad Texas to Victor Vela and Ramona Garza. She was married to Lupe V. Macias for 41 years, before he passed away. Gracie had a career in Housekeeping and worked for many families for 20 plus years. She had a passion for her family, traveling with her daughter, dancing, and playing the slots at Coushatta.
She was preceded in death by her Husband: Guadalupe V. Macias, Daughter: Susan Carrizal, and Sisters: Mary Moreno, Dominga Rodriguez and Aurora Vela.
She is survived by her Granddaughter and her partner: Tracy L. Ortiz and Tony Carreiro, Great Granddaughters: Alexis and Madison Smith, and Great Great granddaughter Lana Elizabella. Granddaughter and husband: George and Melissa Maddox, Great Grandchildren: Veronica, Samantha and Johnny.
A visitation for Reyes will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
