Reynaldo, Rey as he liked to be called, of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully at home on September 18, 2025 at the age of 93. He was surrounded by his wife, Margie, his step-son, Keith Henson and his daughter, Rhonda Lee.
Rey was preceded in death by his son, Russell and his step-son, Scott Henson, and his brother, Frank, Jr.
Rey is survived by wife, Margie; Daughter, Rhonda Lee (Scott); Son, Damon (Korey); Step Son, Keith Henson; Sister, Josephine Scardino, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins.
Rey served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War, 1951 to 1954. He was a Sergeant in the 1st Marine Air Wing. Rey was also a private pilot, a passion he pursued later in his life.
Rey was well liked and loved by all and a true Marine. There was a funny side to him and could throw out those "one liner's" that people could miss if not really listening to him which to me made it even funnier.
Rey worked at DuPont for 20 years before then he worked at Victor Adding Machine Company. He loved both those jobs. He retired from DuPont and then worked part time at Weiser Air Park in Houston, Tx as an Air Traffic Controller and office staff. He loved working around those planes and the people that came in to learn to fly.
Rey flew with a group of people as a sport to go to different locations for breakfast or lunch. He really loved doing that and I did to. So, in our spare time, we played dominoes, Mexican Train; we had many friends that liked to play, they would come here or we would go to their house. Most of all Rey loved walking his dogs, Smokey, Molly, Misty, and Lil Bear, over the years. He was known as the dog whisperer.
Rey was my husband of 42 years, 6 months, 18 days. My partner, my best friend and confidant.
Rey was a smart man and a quiet one. He loved his crossword puzzles and later did 3D puzzles, very artistic and a lot of patience.
I love you my love, you will always be in my heart and we will meet again in Heaven.
