If this is true then Richard's world was as big as all outdoors.  For, as many have pointed out, he had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone.  I loved to hear him laugh, and he loved to make people smile. This was true even when he was in the hospital.  He would tell the nurses that he had done his job for the day if he was able to get them to smile.  Richard loved to tease and be silly, and I don't think many people saw this side of him.  Some of my most precious memories are of our silly times.  He was truly a man of his word.  If Richard said he was going to do something, it ALWAYS got done.  Richard's family and friends meant everything to him and he loved  telling me stories about them and all their adventures.  He loved unconditionally and I will always  treasure the 5-1/2 years we spent together.  My life is better and I am a better person because of Richard. I love and miss him deeply and he will be forever in my heart.

Richard was a one and only he was the best, his heart was larger than Texas he was always willing to give and help in every way he could. I am truly missing him. His friendship was like no other friendship truly amazing. Once he touch your heart he had your heart. I am so greatful for having him in my life he has left a footprint in my path of life as no one else could. My prayers go out to the family. Rest in Pease my friend.

Richard had the biggest heart of any man I've ever known. He would do anything for the people he cared about, with no concern for himself. In 25 years I knew him, I never heard him ask anyone for anything -  for himself. But I saw him reach out and help others many, many times. 

Rest in Peace my dear friend. God keep you.

Richard was one of the best technicians (Master Mechanic) that there was. Many wonderful years at David Taylor Cadillac. Richard was the type of guy who forgot more about cars than most people know. Richard P. Norman

Bud & I have shared many treasured times with Richard. Richard and Bud enjoyed going to the races together and where friends for over 30 years. Bud passed on July 4 2010 and up till that time he always kept in touch with Richard.

I met Richard in SAN JAC Corvette club and enjoyed many great times together. He gave me a ride in his Vette around the track at Texas World Speedway back in the late '70's. WHAT A THRILL !!!
I will remember Richard and his easy manor and ready smile

I was shocked to hear Richard had passed away.  He was a good friend for many years and had done so many things for me.  He had been doing a lot for his neighborhood park recently and was proud of his accomplishments.  He loved working with cars and was a great advisor when I needed assistance with mine.  He always wanted the best for his friends and strived to help when he could.  I will miss his friendship.

Richard was one of my best friends. I am truly going to miss talking with and emailing him.
He was a very good person and had such a huge heart. I loved him with all my heart. 
My prayers are out to his family.
