I Deborah Pierce worked at All Truck Parts off McCarty Street years ago. He was a nice person to work with and I liked the job.  I am sorry to learn of his passing. I send my sympathy and prayers for him and family.

Richard was a friend I first met while being a vendor at Texas Association for Pupil Transportation functions.  I was at the annual Texas event in Corpus Christi several years ago and had an unexpected kidney stone attack after setting up my booth.  From the hospital ER I called Richard and asked him if he could load the display from my booth and carry it back to Houston as I was physically unable to.  Of course, Richard said!  He had everything carefully packed and I went by Chalk’s the following week after recovering to pick up the equipment.   From there Richard and I enjoyed sporting clays shooting with each other as often as possible.  A great friend and an even greater person!

When our family went to the lake for the summer; each morning my Grandad would read the Bible on the deck. I would ask him what he was reading and he would read it with me. 
He would send us emails telling us to read certain passages of Psalms or Proverbs always with a message of encouragement. 

Granddaddy used to make me sit on his lap and memorize all of my great grandfathers and great great grandfathers. He used to always sneak me some mints before dinner. 

Granddada used to always call me right before a swim meet and encourage me to do well and swim fast. He also came to my regional meets and my state meet too. He was always there to remind me that I am who I am because of God and I wouldn’t be where I am today without God. I’m going to miss those calls.

It does not seem possible that our very dear, active and social friend is no longer with us.  I always loved to see his smile and sweet greetings every month at our chapter meetings and all the events he supported every year.  We knew him as a devoted family man and husband, a man who loved his God and his country and was loyal to his close friends.  

I know you are with your dear Sandy but we will miss you dear friend.
