Richard Gene Hudson

Richard Gene Hudson went to be with the Lord on December 19, 2015. He was born on August 16, 1954 in New Orleans, Louisiana to parents James B. Russell and Sally Jane Hudson. Richard served in the U. S. Army as a Mechanic; he loved taking his family fishing and hunting. With his great sense of humor, Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend that will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Debrah; children: Amber Ray and her husband Hank, Kevin Gene Hudson, Paula Daniel and her husband Greg, Brandy Pafford and her husband Charlie, Shiela Clarkes, and Jerimy Keys and his wife Deedra; sixteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, James B. Hudson and his wife Rebecca; sisters: Christine Brinkley and her husband Aubrey and Apple Morley and her husband Clyde and numerous nieces, nephew and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home in the Grand Chapel with Rev. Doug Garland officiating; followed by a burial at Houston National Cemetery with a gate time of 12:45 PM.
