In loving memory of Richard F. Jensen of Montgomery Co. who passed away Nov 29th at the age of 84. He is preceded in death by his parents Jens and Elsa Jensen and a sister Janet Garton. He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years Dorothy (Dot), daughters Sherry and Deborah, sons Richard Jr. and John, numerous grand children and a broad extended family. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 30, 1929. After graduating from Perdue Univ. he went on to become an officer in the Navy. After leaving the Navy he went to work for DuPont as a Professional Engineer. He retired early and continued his career in the marine industry by starting his own company. After retiring he enjoyed life pursuing his many hobbies; sailing, golfing, woodworking, spending time with his children and grandchildren, traveling, and building houses with Habitat for Humanity. He was active in several local neighborhood groups and organizations. Richard will be dearly missed and forever loved by his family and many friends.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 12:30 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, with visitation an hour prior.
