Richard graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and went on to study business at San Jacinto College—an education he carried forward with steady purpose and a hard-working spirit that shaped the life he built.
Richard served in the Navy and was very proud of his time in service. That pride reflected a faithful sense of duty and an enduring commitment to something larger than himself—qualities that continued to guide him long after his military years.
For 25 years, Richard was a business owner, operating a janitorial service. Through years of work and responsibility, he earned the respect of those who knew him, offering not only reliability and perseverance, but also the kind-hearted, compassionate presence that made people feel valued.
Richard found joy in cooking and baking, and he loved fishing and hunting. Whether sharing a meal, spending time outdoors, or simply hanging out with family and friends, he brought warmth, generosity, and a quiet humor that made ordinary moments feel like gifts. Beloved and cherished, he inspired others through the way he showed up—with kindness, steadiness, and care.
In his community, Richard gave in practical, meaningful ways, buying and giving to schools and churches. His generosity was not performative; it was rooted in compassion and a sincere desire to help, leaving a lasting imprint on the places and people he cared about.
