Richard Clair Warner

Richard Claire Warner known to family and friends as “poke” and “Rich” was born January 20, 1958, in Sistersville, West Virginia. He entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Methodist Hospital in Katy, Texas.

Rich grew up in West Virginia, where he attended Tyler County High School and graduated in 1976. He went on to earn a degree in Engineering from Devry University in Columbus, Ohio .

Rich moved to Texas, where he co-founded Scientific Data Systems in 1993 with Mr. Nigel Prior together creating the company’s Warrior Well Logging System. He had a distinguished career as a software engineer at SDS where he worked for over 31 years. He was preceded in death by his father, William Sherl Warner. Mother, Lenora Starkey Warner Caldwell. Brothers, Samuel Warner Sr., and Gerald “Jeff” Warner, Step-daughter Lisa Adkinson and grand-daughter Isabella Adkinson.

Rich is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Lily. Step-son, Roy Diaz of Pasadena, Texas. Daughter, Amy Warner of Mansfield, Texas. Brother, Daniel “Deke” Warner of Alma, West Virginia. Sister-in-law, Sue Warner of Arlington, Texas. David Adkinson of Arlington, Texas and Grandson, Dax Adkinson of Arlington, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends whom he loved dearly.
