Rita Henry

Rita was born December 18, 1959 to Mary Lee and Willie Pleasant in Houston, Texas. She was brought up in New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a prominent member of the choir. She attended high school at Kashmere High School in Houston, Texas.

Rita was married to her husband Michael Henry for over 20 love filled years. She is survived by their two children, Rachael Henry and Rossilyn Henry; as well as her grand daughter Aliyah Jordan Simpson. She was a well loved pillar of our family and her motherly strength, love and wisdom touched everyone she encountered.

She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Lee Pleasant and her two brothers., Gary Slojander Plesant and Gregory Pleasant.

She leaves to mourn her devoted husband, Michael Henry; her father Willie Pleasant, her sister Ramona Brown (Zachery), her two daughters Rachael and Rossilyn, bonus daughters Michelle Henry, LaKeyshia Williams, bonus son Michael Henry Jr. and grand daughter Aliyah Simpson. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, other relatives, friends and coworkers.
