Rita Sue McGuyer

Rita McGuyer, of Houston passed away on September 20th, 2017 in Houston, TX.Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, September 27th, 2017 at Brookside Funeral Home, 9149 Highway 6 N, in Houston. Rosary will be held from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday September 28th, 2017 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church with Fr Sean Horrigan officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at Houston National Cemetery.

Rita Sue Elliott was born in Hobbs, NM to Gerald F and Veryl Elliott on December 10th, 1946. She graduated from Hobbs High School in 1964. She married David S McGuyer on May 19th, 1964. She worked in book keeping at Royce Home Builders for a number of years.

Rita was preceded in death by her husband David, her parents Gerald F. and Veryl Elliot, her brother Darrell Elliott, and her sister Patricia Woywod.

Rita is survived by her daughter Michalle Prieto (David), and grandchildren Kellie Brewer (Chad), Kerrie Prieto, and Justin Prieto.

Pallbearers will be Rick Baker Sr, Tom Palmisano, Rick Baker Jr, John Baker, Nick Palmisano, Sam Palmisano.
