Riza Renee Routte
Born December 27, 1963 in Houston, Texas, Riza was the second child born to Emmett and Loretta Routte. She grew up in the historic Fifth Ward of Houston and was a product of the Houston Independent School District and earned an associate medical degree from Hargest Vocational College. She accepted Christ Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age and loved to study the Bible and share scriptures with others.
Riza enjoyed scrapbooking and decorating her planner. She always had a smile on her face and a quick joke ready to make every one laugh. She loved music and dancing and shopping at Hobby Lobby and Michaels for crafting supplies. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her father Emmett, and her brothers Arthur Franklin and Dwayne Venters. She is survived by her fiancé, Donell Criswell, her son, Jerraud, her stepchildren Donell Jr., Justin, and Amber, and her grandchildren Jayfus, Jaxson, and Cari, her sister Demetria, and her mother Loretta. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and she will forever remain in our hearts and memories.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Brookside Funeral Home from 5 pm to 8 pm. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Brookside Funeral Home at 10 am followed by the burial at Brookside Memorial Park.
