Robert "Bob" Lee Rivera, III

Robert is the beloved son Andrea Martinez Rivera and Robert Lee Rivera Jr., and brother to Miguel Rivera, Mariah Rivera, Marissa Rivera, and Miranda Garza.

Robert had many pursuits that brought him great joy…

First and foremost, he loved his family; and really looked forward to large family functions and gatherings.

He enjoyed life and making others laugh; and he was known as the jokester of the group.

He loved playing video games with his brother Miguel, and his lifelong friends Adam, Garett and Barbosa. The five of them were inseparable!

He grew up on Anime and never grew tired of watching it. And, he was a huge Big Bang Theory fan, not just because he thought Penny was so cute, but because he said watching it would make him look and talk smarter!

He loved story games that drew him deep into worlds of imagination; so much so that he would dream about them.

And he loved watching movies on the big screen! After he moved out on his own, he and his fiancé became partners in crime, going to see movies as soon as they were released in the theater.

He played football in Junior High, but that was short lived due to the epilepsy he battled. But, out of that, he found the comfort of water; and he loved how the water would surround him and soothe him like a blanket. He was a natural, and he swam competitively for 7 years.

After graduation from Ray High School he had a career in retail and customer service for Amazon, Joe V’s, HEB, and Stripes Convenience Store.

Robert had a tender loving heart for his Mom, and always thought of himself as her “superman”. The time they spent together will always be cherished. She shared these precious words, “You were, and forever will be, my protector. Now I know why you always told me to be strong. You knew that one day I would need the strength to bear your loss” - Mom
