

Robert Lewis Brownlee passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 12, 2012. He was born on June 22, 1927 to Harold and Ruby (Dittman) Brownlee in Washington, PA. He served in the army at the end of World War II as radio operator in Washington DC. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1951 and was employed as a geologist with Monsanto, Sunset International, Inexco and McCormick Oil and Gas. He loved his family & geology in that order. He was a 50 year Mason with the Planters Lodge in Plantersville, Tx. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Emma, son Keith and wife Diane, daughter Jane Murphy and husband Jim, and five grandchildren; Bryce Brownlee, Jenny (and Chad) O’Brien, Scott Murphy, Danny Murphy and Keith Murphy. He is also survived by an extended church family and many friends. Bob loved being with his kids and grandkids and being on the tractor at “the land” with Emma always by his side. He was a true gentleman and brightened the lives of everyone who knew him. He will be missed by many.
Friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral home, 13001
Katy Freeway, Houston, Tx 77079. Funeral Services will be at Memorial Oaks on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. with internment to follow at Memorial Oaks.
