

Robert E. Favorite, age 87, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026, surrounded by family. Robert was born in Pensacola, Florida, on October 23, 1938, to Robert M. and Cora Bell Favorite.
He moved to Houston, Texas at the age of 14 and spent most of his life in the Houston area. When he was 17 years old, he met the love of his life, Charlene, at Stephen F. Austin High School. After graduating from high school, Robert joined the United States Air Force. Upon returning to Texas from his deployment, he married Charlene on July 25, 1959, and they began their wonderful journey together.
Robert was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Sugar Land, Texas, since its founding in 1978. He served his church in many capacities over the years.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-seven years, Charlene, and five children: Laura Crumhorn, Julie Bush (Robert), Robert Favorite, Dianna Thompson (Chris), and Michael Favorite (Jennifer). He was a loving grandfather to his four grandchildren, Melanie, Michelle, Christopher, and Sloane, and one great-grandchild, Lilith. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Shirley Kelly, and brother-in-law Roger Ivey, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister, all of Pensacola, Florida.
