ROBERT CORDER FOCKE, 71, attorney, died on Saturday, June 19, 2010. Born on Galveston Island, Nov. 21, 1938, raised in Houston, Texas. Graduated from Lamar High School, B. S., University of Houston, Doctor of Jurisprudence, South Texas College of Law. Bob, a great man with a gentle spirit, honored the law, practiced his faith in action and quiet, loved the outdoors, boxing, cars, told wonderful stories and had the respect and admiration of many friends and relatives. He was a mentor, a guide and an educator.He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert C. Focke and Roberta Kathryn Lyons Focke.Bob is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Susan Marie Bilnoski Focke, his children, Guy William Focke and wife, Stacey Diane, Kate Marie Scheinman and husband, Greg Evan, grandchildren, Karaline Diane and Brodie Guy Focke, Auden Gray and Harper Jett Scheinman, brothers, John William Focke and wife, Catherine, and Richard Guy Focke. Bob also leaves sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Quentin Hoffman, Paul and Mercedes Bilnoski, Charles and Diane Bilnoski, George and Bobbie Bilnoski, Robert and Suzie Bilnoski, Annette and Don Tamborello, Jeanne and Will Tomek, Christine and Vernon Hegwood, and Sandra and Richard Pawulski, cousins, numerous nieces and nephews, and multitudes of friends grateful to have known him. Pallbearers will be John Bridges Focke, Wulf Focke, Thatcher Focke, Michael Focke, Dewey Powell, Dan Reedy, Greg Scheinman and Robert Rueter.Visitation will be at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home 1200 34th St., Houston, TX 77018, from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 22, with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 23 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Rd., Houston, TX. 77056.Rite of Committal will follow in the Garden of Gethsemane at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
