Robert Gene "Bob" Grimes

Robert (Bob) Grimes, 80, was born on February 9, 1931 in Houston, Texas. He entered into rest on October 27, 2011. Bob is reunited with his mother, Florence Hall and two brothers, Charles Hall and Larry Hall. He leaves to cherish fond memories, his wife, Jadine Poston Grimes; son Kenneth Grimes and wife Brenda and their children Kelley and Bryan Grimes; daughter, Cindy Ponder and husband Tommy and their children Tonya, Kyle and Cody Ponder. He worked for General Box Company for 47 years. Bob was a loving husband, a devoted father and dedicated family man. He was a Devout Christian and served as a leader and choir member at Hope Episcopal Church, formerly St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Oak Forest. Bob will be dearly missed by his family and especially his wife Jadine having been together for almost 61 years. The family rests assured that Bob is in the loving and caring arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Visitation will be Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Pat H. Foley & Co. with funeral services following on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Hope Episcopal Church, 1613 W. 43rd St., Houston, TX 77018.
