Dear Mrs. Harker and Family,

My wife, Betty, and I met your husband, Robert ("Bob" as we knew him) about 50 years ago at Briargrove Pharmacy.  He was more than a Pharmacist to us, he was a loyal friend with a quick smile and an outstanding sense of humor. We will miss him, but know that he is now in Better Hands.  

Please accept our condolences and we shall remember you and all of Bob's other loved ones in our prayers.

I have known Bob most of my pharmacy career, first as a Pharmacist  and then as the owner of Briargrove Pharmacy. Over the years he became more than an employee and colleghe, he became my friend. He was a  hard working dedicated pharmacist who had an old fashion work ethic. Bob came to work early and would not leave until he compounded the last prescription that a patient needed. Bob helped train many Pharmacists  and employees, and he imparted to each his dedication and his enjoyment of being a truly helpful Pharmacist. He always made time to be helpful to all patients who asked for his counsel, and there where many. He encouraged many Pharmacists-interns to be kind, helpful and respectful of all the patients who entered the pharmacy for a variety of medications. The interns and new employees respected Bob for his  wellingness to help them learn how help a patient and when thier training was complete they had a deep respect for Bob's work ethic and his dedication to the profession of pharmacy.
Bob had a  large collection records and tapes of "Big Band" and Country Western music. The radio DJ Paul Berlin would borrow Bob's Country Westen tapes to play on his radio program. He enjoyed listening to his tapes while working and one time an intern asked what type of music are you  listening to and I laughed when he replied that it was "Real Music". 
I will miss  Bob very much and he will be greatly missed by the people he helped during his 60 plus years as a caring and dedicated Pharmacist.
I am sorry that I cannot be there as my wife and I are visiting family in Switzerland.

I had the pleasure to work with Bob I'm going to miss him dearly he touched many lives including mine. I will never forget the great memories we shared together. I'm going to miss my buddy. My thoughts and prayers to his family.
