Robert Wayne Kinsey

Robert was born in Independence, Kansas to Bula Claire Fiscus Kinsey and Charles Fiscus on June 1, 1949. The family of Robert acknowledges with profound appreciation any personal kindnesses, thoughts and other expressions of love and sympathy during their hours of bereavement.

Robert and his wife Nelda were high school sweethearts meeting at Jasper High School in Jasper, Texas. They welcomed two children into their family, Bryan and Kimberly.

Graduating from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas in 1973, Robert worked for many years at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas as a quality assurance engineer on the Space Shuttle program.

In recent years, he worked in a similar capacity at Langley Research Center and as a quality assurance engineer for the United States Army at Fort Knox, Kentucky and Huntsville, Alabama.

Robert enjoyed sports of all kinds, and spend many years as a referee for high school and college sports, including basketball and baseball.

In his spare time, Robert enjoyed landscaping and attending church and studying the Bible.

Robert is survived by his son Bryan Kinsey and his wife; sister Kathy Kinsey, her son Jarrod and his wife; brother Henry Fiscus, his daughter Angela and her husband.
