

He was born on February 8, 1942 to Aubrey and Nona Lankford in Houston, Texas.
Bob attended Fannin Elementary, Lanier Jr. High, San Jacinto High and one year at University of Houston. His family owned a Mom & Pop grocery store which later turned into a restaurant which today is known as Lankford’s Grocery. He worked in outside sales for Mrs. Baird’s Bakery, Mothers Cookies and Adams Extract Co., where he worked until he retired. Servicing all major chain stores and small stores all over the Houston area. He had a passionate love for cars and wheels and spending time with his family. Bob and family joined OSL in 1989 where he served on the Board of Elders and worked in the sound booth for services.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Nona Lankford, father Aubrey Lankford and brother, Jimmy Lankford all of Houston.
Survived by wife, Emily (Simoneaux) Lankford; sister, Edith Pisor; son, Darren Lankford and wife Janie; son, Robert Lankford and wife Kim; grandchildren, Jordan, Blake, Rayne, Trace and Taylor; brother-in-law, Bobby Simoneaux; sister-in-law, Joan Pickard and husband Jimmy, four nephews, one niece, and many extended family and friends and his OSL family.
God saw him getting tired and a cure for his illness was not to be, so God put his arms around him and whispered, “Come to Me.”
