Bob is survived by his loving wife, Maxine Weiman Owens; daughter Patricia; daughter Kerry Meadows and husband Mark; daughter Liesl; and grandchildren Clint and Matthew Stockton. He was preceded in death by his parents and best friends Don Krebs and Gilbert Leonardon.
Robert served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and worked many years as an independent petroleum geologist.
The family will welcome visitors between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 5. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 6 in the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel, 13001 Katy Freeway Houston, Texas 77079.
The family would like to thank Vitas Hospice Care for their compassion and outstanding care. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund.
