Robert "Bud" Duane Seaman

Robert Duane Seaman, known to his friends as “Bud,” was welcomed into heaven by his heavenly Father on Tuesday, the 3rd of April 2018, at 93 years young. After a year of attending Ft. Hayes College, Bud served as a lieutenant Navy pilot. Following the war, he attended the University of Kansas and graduated with a business degree. Upon graduation, he began his career with William Voker of Kansas City and later transferred to Houston to manage the Houston branch for 35 years. In 1981 he proudly opened his own firm, Manchester Carpet, where he served until his death. Bud was married to Vivian Virginia “V.V.” Hamm Seaman for 45 years and they had three children: Mike, Dana and Matthew. Bud is survived by his son, Mike and his wife Tina, and grandsons, Andrew and Matthew; and daughter, Dana Seaman Poulin. He is also survived by his sister, DeAnn Eley; and sisters-in-law, Erika Hamm and Linda Hamm Wilcox and her husband Ron. Bud was preceded in death by his wife, V.V.; son Matthew; parents, William Howard and Vera Wuester Seaman; and sister, Gayle Long. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from four o’clock in the afternoon until six o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 13th of April, in the library and grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston. A memorial service and celebration of life is to be conducted at three o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 14th of April, at Christ Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 8300 Katy Freeway in Houston. The family wishes to thank his extraordinary physicians, Dr. Amber Zulfiqar and Dr. Oscar Rosales, and the loving therapists who enhanced his life. Due to Bud’s love for His Father’s Heart Ministries, in lieu of flowers the family would like to respectfully honor his wish that donations be directed to HFHM, 5715 Northwest Central Drive, Suite F109, Houston, Texas, 77092 ( “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7 “Thank you, friend.”
