Roberto Puente

Roberto Puente, age 60, of Houston, Texas passed away on January 1, 2026. He was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico on May 21, 1965, to parents Jose Arcadio Puente and Maria de Jesus Puente Medina. Roberto graduated from Escuela Adolfo Lopez Mateo.

Roberto had a career as a heavy machine operator at Serco for 18 years. He was a hard worker, a quality that defined him both personally and professionally. Roberto was a member of Iglesia de Cristo and had a passion for soccer and baseball.

He met Benita Puente in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, and they were married on July 4, 1992. They had three children together. A devoted family man, Roberto loved spending time with his grandchildren and his dogs, taking them on walks to the park and enjoying ice cream cones afterward.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria de Jesus Puente Medina. He is survived by his wife, Benita Puente; sons, Roberto Osmar Puente and Edwin Uriel Puente; and daughter, Elizabeth Puente.

Visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX, on January 13, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A funeral service will take place at the same venue on January 14, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, followed by a Graveside Service at Brookside Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jose Puente, Hector Puente, Oscar Leonel Puente, Edwin Uriel Puente, Roberto Osmar Puente, and Arcadio Puente.

Roberto will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy will continue to influence and inspire those he leaves behind.
