Robin was born in Houston on the 7h of July 1953, to Lois Laird Overton and Robert Carter Overton, Jr.
Robin is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Stephen Sengelmann, III. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Jane Sengelmann Canion and her husband James Ross Canion; her son Robert Stephen Sengelmann and his wife Mariann; her grandchildren; Carter and Kennedy Canion and Bert, Ben and Laine Sengelmann; her sister Laura Overton Wheless and her family; her sister Mary Maude Overton Beard and her family; and her brother, Robert Carter Overton, III and his family; and The Sengelmann Family.
Robin was loved by many family and friends and loved them all back deeply. She was sweet, kind, and generous. She never met a stranger without a smile and made friends everywhere she went. She was a strong, intelligent and faithful woman, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Most of her life was spent in education; she loved to teach and help others. She also loved to travel, in particular to Mexico, Grand Cayman and Galveston. She was a super nanny granny to her grandchildren and they meant the world to her. She will be deeply missed. Robin is at home with the Lord, fully restored.
Friends and family are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances from two o'clock until five o'clock in the afternoon on Sunday, the 28th of March, in the grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
At a later date in April, the family will gather for a private burial service at the Family Ranch.
