To the family and friends of Rocco O:

My sincere condolences to all those mourning the loss of our beloved Rocky. I was fortunate to share many a laugh and a plethora of good eats during the many festive gatherings held at The Ottaviano house back in our high school years. It was always a treat to see he and Vinny when visiting The Lasagna House. He and Angela created an amazing family that I have been privileged to know ever since they arrived in Houston back in the 80's. May Rocky rest in peace and may we all find comfort in knowing that our priceless memories of him can never be taken away.

I love you and will miss your bright  personality.  I am sad we didn't get to hang out one more time but find comfort knowing you are at peace with Nanny.



Dear Rocky (and family), 

I am deeply saddened that I never got the chance to meet you, and you me. I would have loved to have been there to see you spend time with Neil and my kids, Sydney and Enzo. From what I have heard, Enzo seems to have been gifted some of your charm and sense of humor (but we will have to work on his accordion skills). After reading the wonderful words others have said, and seeing the grief felt by your brother and sister-in-law, there is no doubt that you were a wonderful man and head of the Ottaviano family. How wonderful a life you must have lead to have made such a lasting impression on those around you.

Uncle rocky will be missed he was such a bright light with an amazing personality.  The world seems a little sadder without him. But he passed on his personality and love for life to his family. And he will always be in our hearts and laughter.  I will always remember laughing with him.  We love and miss you the Detroit Ottaviano’s

I will always have fond memories of Rocco.  I met him & his lovely wife when I started working in Katy 1/2 a block from their restaurant.  I had lost my husband who used to make the best Marinara in town.  
I ordered some the first time I went to Rocco’s & it tasted just like my husband had cooked it!  It brought tears to my eyes.  From that day on I was a regular.  Once I was sick & Rocco told me to only eat some pasta with a little olive oil & he fixed it for me.  He was so kind!  I will always miss him & his delicious cooking!  My prayers are with his family.🙏

Dear Uncle Rocky and my Godfather,

Words can 't express the extreme sadness and emptiness I feel inside  since you left us.   You were such a big part of my life growing up and I have so many funny and amazing memories that I will share and talk about to friends and family to keep your spirit alive.  I find inner peace and comfort knowing that you have joined God, Nanny and all our other loved ones that have passed on.   You are now free of all the pain and suffering you endured while growing older.  You were taken from us too soon but I will never forget you or stop loving you.  I was happy we had a phone conversation just a few days prior to you leaving us and I was able to tell  you,  I love you Uncle Rocky.   I'm sorry I am unable to be their today to  say goodbye but I  know we will see each other again and rejoice in happiness.  Please visit me in my dreams.....

Dear Brother,

I can not believe you are gone.  My heart is broken and it is very difficult for me to accept you are no longer here with us,  I remember it was just like yesterday, us growing up as siblings in Italy and then our adventure over to the United States.   We shared so many loving and wonderful times with our families over the years. I will treasure these memories forever until we see each other again.

Dear Uncle Rocco,
