

Rodrigo Victor de Valle passed on peacefully from this life on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the age of 97. Rodrigo was born on October 17, 1923 in Havana, Cuba where he grew up with his father, mother and brother. He followed in his father’s footsteps by pursuing a career in medicine, graduating from medical school and becoming a radiologist. He married Carmen Lucia Mares in 1952, and they eventually left Havana and settled in Williamson, West Virginia with their children, George, Oscar and Michelle. In 1977 they moved to Houston, Texas where Rodrigo opened Clinica Hispana, a thriving and well-known medical practice that has now been in establishment for 41 years. Rodrigo had a life-long love for learning and was known for his charismatic personality, sense of humor, overwhelming generosity and willingness to help others. He loved God, loved his family, and was a tremendous blessing to all who knew him; he will be greatly missed. Rodrigo was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Carmen (2000), and his son, George (2019). He is survived by his son, Oscar, his daughter, Michelle, his daughter-in-law, Dianna, and grandchildren, Micah, Savanna, Colton, Sarina, and Alea- Lucia. The family would like to extend special thanks to Anastacia Mata for her love and care of Rodrigo in the last years of his life. The family takes great comfort in knowing they will see Rodrigo again, one glorious day in heaven.
